Timber Track:
We gather in rhythm with the natural world. Over time, something shifts: curiosity sharpens, confidence grows, and both kids and adults begin to know things - not just hear about them.
What we build here has a nucleus of structure but is not pre-packaged. Like the forest floor, the strength (mycelium) is built in the willingness to explore and connect.
 This is organic, responsive, and shaped by the people who show up.

Our learning follows the growth pattern of a tree
SOIL - The Hearth
Where we remember how to show up. How to prepare for adventure. Feet meet ground, hands meet earth, and the body learns again what it means to be held and to belong.

ROOT - The Living Ground
Where we begin to listen. The land speaks in pattern and presence, and we learn to read what has always been there.

BRANCH - The Working Limb
Where skill takes form. Fire answers, tools shape, and the quiet knowing of the hands begins to return.

CANOPY - The Guiding Crown
Where we step forward. Not above, but among—learning to carry others, to see further, and to move with responsibility.

SKY - The Open Field
Where it all opens. Nothing performative, no ego – only the path you now know how to walk, and the wisdom to help others find their way.

MYCELIUM - The Living Network
Where we weave together. Beneath and between, knowledge travels, relationships deepen, and the unseen becomes what holds us.

Rather than a collection of classes, Timber Track is a progressive apprenticeship in ecological literacy, outdoor competency, and relationship with place.
Participants move through a series of cohorts, each building upon the last as skills deepen and confidence grows.
Like the growth rings of a tree, every stage prepares us for the next.
This invitation is for the dirt lovers, the sky watchers. It is for the multi-generational hearth dwellers, the young humans and their elders, the life schoolers, the queer kin, and the modern pioneers. We are calling those who long to be more than just observers of the wild, those ready to become its most capable allies.

This structure gives us direction but not rigidity.
 We move with the group, the season, and what’s alive in the moment.

Why This Matters
Time outside is valuable.
But without skill, it often stays surface-level.
This cohort gives participants the ability to:
